Ruth Rebekka Hansen is a Danish choreographer, performer and dancer. She works in the cross-field of dance, live art, theatre and visual art. Upon completing her education from Balettakademien Stockholm 2018, she made her professional debut as a dancer at Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern, Stockholm, in the performance SAFE written and directed by Falk Richter. She has since worked internationally as a freelance dancer and performer with Gunilla Lind, DeLeón Company, Jernej Bizjak and Lara Ostan. Ruth was curated into the artist development program Aabent Rum 2023 by Aaben Dans in Roskilde. During her time in Aabent Rum she developed the solo-performance RIPE BODY, which premiered at Roskilde Festival 2024. It has since been shown on a national tour at Bora Bora, Dansehallerne and teater Momentum at the end of 2024, and in a special version as a guest-play at Teater Sort/Hvid in the beginning of 2025.

RIPE BODY:installation and RIPE BODY:RIP IT, a two part solo-piece co-
produced by Roskilde Festival, Dansehallerne, Aaben Dans, Bora Bora and Teater Momentum. The piece premiered at Roskilde Festival in 2024. It toured nationally at the end of 2024 to Aarhus, Copenhagen and Odense. RIPE BODY:RIP IT was shown at Teater Sort/Hvid as a guest performance in January 2025 in a special version, which included a mini-concert with musician/composer Lauge Heebøll.
